Walk Kansas

Walk Kansas is organized by the K-State Research & Extension’s Post Rock District. It is an 8-week team-based program focused on improving overall health. Groups of six form a team, with one serving as the captain. Teams can be family, coworkers, friends, community organization members, neighbors, or part of a faith-based community. Team members do not have to live in the same town, county, state or country. More information is available at: https://www.walkkansas.org/

Interested in forming a Walking Club? A few members of the Live Healthy Lincoln County are helping to form walking clubs that will motivate people to get out and get moving! If you are interested in participating or become a leader, please contact either Gaylene Zier, RDN, LD at the Lincoln County Health Department (785-524-4406) or Ashley Svaty, KSU Extension Agent for Nutrition, Food Safety and Health (785-524-4432).
