Lincoln County Highway Department

The Lincoln County Highway Department services the Lincoln County area year round with services that include road maintenance/repair, bridge maintenance/replacement and culvert maintenance/replacement. The highway department is responsible for over 1120 miles of roads and 302 bridges within Lincoln County.

Winter Hours: Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Summer Hours: Monday – Thursday: 6 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Lincoln County Public Transportation

Lincoln County Public Transportation provides transportation in and out of Lincoln County for medical, nutritional, business, and pleasure. Out of town appointments should be set between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. The bus does not run on weekends or any holiday the courthouse is closed, and will not run when road conditions are unsafe for travel.

Appointments by phone may be made between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. 24 hours notice is appreciated, and appointments and trips for Mondays must be scheduled before 5 p.m. on Friday.

Lincoln Municipal Airport

The Lincoln Municipal Airport (FAA LID: K71) is a public use airport in Lincoln County, KS. It is owned by the City of Lincoln, also known as Lincoln Center, and located two nautical miles (4 km) northwest of the central business district. The airport’s role in the Kansas Airport System Plan has been identified as Community airport. Community airports serve a supplemental role in the local economies, primarily serving smaller business, recreational, and personal flying. The FAA considers Lincoln Municipal as a non-NPIAS airport.  Currently, the primary runway’s length is 2700 feet and width is 370 feet.  The runway surface is turf.

The airport is managed by Clay Haring of Post Rock Aviation.
