South Fork Spillman Creek Double-Arch Bridge

The unique double-arched limestone bridge is located nine miles north of Sylvan Grove on Highway 181 at the south fork of Spillman Creek and was placed on the Register of Historic Kansas Places in 2004. This 1908 greenhorn fencepost limestone structure was saved by local historians after it was abandoned by the Kansas Department of Transportation in the early 1900s. A small roadside turn-off and gazebo marks the location to view the limestone bridge.
