The Lincoln Recreation Commission is looking for an assistant director in charge of the administrative side of the Rec. The position is part-time, but hours will fluctuate with the sports seasons. The Assistant Rec Director (Administrator) is responsible for the administrative side of the Lincoln Recreation Commission. Office hours will be expected, and this position will work closely with the other Assistant Rec Director that is responsible for the sports and activities side. The Assistant Rec Director reports directly to the Board of the Lincoln Recreation Commission.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Office hours
  • Attending Board meetings, usually only once a month
  • Assembling and distributing the paperwork needed for board meetings
  • Financials (using Quickbooks, deposits, and working with City Hall on invoices, paperwork, etc.)
  • Sports forms
  • Shirt orders for all sports teams
  • Paying all officials
  • Equipment ordering
  • Phone (this includes carrying the Rec cell phone)
  • Website/RecDesk (managing and updating each season)
  • Facebook (posting updates, notifications, answering messages, etc. – this is a shared responsibility)
  • Checking the mail
  • Assisting the other Assistant Recreation Director during busy sports seasons when needed



  • 18 years or older, and must pass a background and drug check
  • Responsible, dependable, and trustworthy
  • Quickbooks experience preferred, but not required
