The Lincoln County Economic Development Foundation (LCEDF) is seeking a summer intern to work in a true leadership capacity, alongside the Executive Director. The overall goal of the internship is to engage youth (primarily junior/senior high school and college-aged students) in economic and community development initiatives happening throughout the county. The intern will have the ability to utilize their own particular skills, interests, and career-goals to develop projects that meet this goal. Example projects may include coordinating listening sessions between youth and community and business leaders, organizing community beautification projects, assisting with green space planning and implementation, and increasing area youths understanding of opportunities that exist for them in the future in Lincoln County. Other projects may include updating the www.LiveLincolnCounty.com website, creating social media graphics and marketing materials, and analyzing data and generating reports. The internship will offer a great opportunity for mentorship and strengthening skill development in a real world setting, including organizational skills, goal setting, decision making, professionalism, strategic thinking, time management, and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for small town life and making a difference in rural communities.
