The informational meeting is for business owners interested in funding through Lincoln County’s CDBG-COVID Resiliency (CDBG-CVR) grant program awarded by the Kansas Department of Commerce. The County was awarded $141,642 in funding to help local businesses modernize and prepare for future health emergencies. The grant aims to support a wide range of projects including technology and infrastructure upgrades, professional development, and other initiatives aimed at preventing future closures due to public health crises.

Businesses interested in funding are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to attend this meeting as information on procurement processes, labor wages for construction activities, and potential liens on equipment purchased with grant funds will be discussed.

To start their application process, businesses MUST submit a survey describing their needs for funding. The deadline for responses is Thursday, November 30, 2023. The survey can be found at https://forms.gle/z3mfwpx9r2fwbLz56.

Grant funds will be distributed to local businesses on a first-come, first-served basis. To be eligible, businesses must be for-profit, open before March 1, 2020, and have at least 51% of employees considered low- to moderate-income qualified.

Maximum grant amounts are up to $30,000 for businesses with five or fewer employees or $50,000 for businesses with six to 50 employees.

The North Central Regional Planning Commission is serving as grant administrator on behalf of Lincoln County. Questions should be directed to Bri Beck, Community Development Director, at 785-738-2218 or communitydevelopmentrep@ncrpc.org.
