Located southwest of Lincoln at Iron Dr and 170th Rd., it consists of 240 acres with cultivated fields, prairie meadows, streams and woodlands. Audubon of Kansas will utilize the property to demonstrate how land can be farmed but also be very good habitat for wildlife and native plants with filter strips of native grasses and wildflowers along the edge of every field. Pollinator habitat complements an eight-acre remnant prairie meadow. Picnic tables have been placed in the southeast corner of the property on an overlook. Bring binoculars to view various bird species such as Brown Thrashers, Wild Turkeys, kingbirds, woodpeckers, and wrens.
