The Radish Patch (Lincoln’s Community Garden)

Mission: To grow good food, good friends, and goodwill while providing fresh vegetables from the garden and supplementing food needs for individuals and/or families in Lincoln, Kansas, and the surrounding communities in Lincoln County.

Fundraiser/Volunteer Efforts: The Radish Patch is an outreach project established to promote the enhancement and growth of community through gardening. Individuals or organizations rent garden plots yearly for the purpose of growing garden products. Over 2,000 pounds of fresh produce has been distributed yearly throughout Lincoln County since the garden’s inception and founding in 2013. The Radish Patch operates solely from a volunteer basis and the generosity of garden supporters. Current dreams of the garden include placement of permanent water lines, walk paths and the construction of a central gathering space for garden events and social opportunities for the community.
