Stained Glass Artistry owner Janell Flores has been designing and building windows and lampshades for more than 25 years. The primary focus of the business is designing and fabricating one of a kind stained glass art for clients, including windows, panels, cabinet doors, lampshades, gift items and more. Flores also does repair and restoration of stained and leaded glass.
When Flores recently opened the studio on the upper level of her 100 year old home in Lincoln, KS, she also began passing on her knowledge of the trade, offering stained glass classes. Small groups of up to 3 students are welcomed to Flores’ studio and given the opportunity to work with the necessary tools and a selection of glass to create their own projects. With a small class size, Flores is able to give each student one-on-one time to learn the techniques of cutting the glass into complex shapes, soldering the pieces together, and preparing a finished artwork.
