Sixteen 60 Publishing Co.

Sixteen 60 Publishing Co. was founded in Lincoln, Kansas, by John Baetz and Bree McReynolds-Baetz in 2004. The media company began when John and Bree purchased the Lincoln Sentinel in 2004. The company purchased the Chapman News-Times later that year, and in 2006 expanded into magazine publishing by starting the state’s only comprehensive preseason high school football magazine, Kansas Pregame. Kansas Mat Preview and Kansas Hardwood were started in 2008 and 2012 respectively and the publications provide regional previews for the sports in primarily western Kansas.

The company has produced a number of specialty publications over the years including the Northern Plains League Basketball Tournament Program, Brothers Through The Bone – The Story of Smith Center Redmen Football Under Coach Roger Barta, and Live Lincoln County. Company president John Baetz has contributed to a number of sports radio programs over the years and started the Kpreps.com Kansas Pregame Show which now runs weekly on more than 25 Kansas radio stations each fall.
